I didn’t marry until 30. In my single years, I chased the “next right thing”—academia, missions, healthcare. But when marriage and motherhood came quickly, I realized I had never actually learned to run a home.
Then, in one whirlwind year, we adopted two daughters while our firstborn son was just 15 months old. Overnight, we went from zero to three kids—still newlyweds—while I worked part-time, pursued a doctorate, and walked with my husband through his father’s slow passing. I was drowning.
God answered my desperate prayers through books, courses, mentors, & friends who taught me the beauty of simple, life-giving systems and routines. What transformed our home wasn’t an academic theory--but learning to manage it well, and repenting where my own sin fueled the chaos.
Today, our home runs on steady rhythms—tidy spaces, nourishing meals, laundry done, time for homeschool, rest, connection, and Sabbath. The peace I once thought impossible is now our reality.
All glory to God. He transformed this heart and home. And now, I help other moms find the same freedom.
